Uzbekistan implements National Action Plan for ICT development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan -- Uzbekistan is implementing National Action Plan for ICT development till 2020, the Minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Khurshid Mirzakhidov said at the Uzbek-Korean IT Forum in Tashkent on 18 April 2016.
“Uzbekistan is actively involved in the process of a large-scale introduction of modern technologies in the life of society. President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov personally has initiated this process,” he said.

“Our country has set a goal - in a short period to create a reliable and broad-scale infrastructure of "e-Government", which will bring the relationship between government, citizens and business to a completely new level”, the Uzbek Minister said.

“Within this framework, the Government has adopted and is currently implementing National Action plan for ICT development till 2020, which includes Communication Infrastructure Development Program (17 projects) and for the creation eGovernment program (28 projects),” Mirzakhidov said.
