Uzbekistan and Qatar to improve trade turnover
Uzbekistan plans to further improve trade and economic cooperation with Qatar, the Ministry for Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan said.
As stated in the Ministry’s report, Sahib Saifnazarov, Deputy Foreign Trade Minister met with the Qatari delegation led by Sheikh Mohammed Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the Barwa Group of Companies.
During the meeting, the sides considered possibilities of cooperation in number of spheres, including logistics, textile industry, transport, production and export of fruits and vegetables.
Business circles of Qatar attending the event stated that development of trade and economic relations will further strengthen friendly ties and benefit the both parties. They expressed their readiness to improve contacts with Uzbekistan.
The delegation led by Sheikh Mohammed Hamad Al-Thani is expected to hold talks with representatives of several ministries, departments and industrial companies of Uzbekistan in Tashkent and Bukhara.
