Video report: Uzbekistan welcomes Asian Para Games heroes and heroines
The main part of the Uzbek delegation, who successfully participated in the 3rd Para-Asian Games in Indonesia, arrived in Tashkent through charter flight on the night of October 15. A magnificent event was organized at the International Airport named after Islam Karimov in this regard.
It was noted that our compatriots have won 77 medals (35 gold, 24 silver and 18 bronze) with 54 participants.
The Uzbek team was named as the most productive team of the Games as per the number of athletes.
The Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Abduvakhidov, the Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abduhakimov, the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Dilmurod Nabiyev and the President of the National Olympic Committee Umid Akhmadjonov took part in the welcoming ceremony with the involvement of many parents and sports fans.
While opening the event, Aziz Abdukhakimov congratulated the delegation on behalf of the Government of Uzbekistan and said that the country takes pride in them. Then the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was performed by military orchestra of the Ministry of Defense.
