Missing Diana Akhmedova, 8, was found dead in Khorezm
Diana Akhmedova went missing on October 3. She was found dead after 21 days, the grandfather Yakub Akhmedov said. She was a resident of “Pishkanak” village, Khiva district.
Diana's father, Khushnud Yakubov, had gone to work in Russia. The young girl remained under the guardianship of her grandparents. Diana's mother used to leave to work early at 7 a.m. and returned late in the evening.
Khushnud Yakubov had to return home from Russia on October 5, when he heard that Diana disappeared without any trace.
The search lasted 21 days, the corpse of Diana was found in a ditch flowing across “Pishkanak” village.
Now, M. Ya., Diana’s uncle, is suspected of murdering the girl and he is detained. The convict is currently being investigated on charges of committing a crime envisaged by Article 97 (intentional killing), Part 2, under the sections "v" and "z" of the Criminal code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
