Uzbekistan to provide school buses for all schools across the country
By January 1, 2019, all schools in Uzbekistan will be provided with school buses, “Khalk suzi” newspaper reports referring to the results of the meeting held by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Nov. 2, 2018.
The meeting was dedicated to further development of the public education system.
“In accordance with the requirements of the regions, it was instructed to transfer the buildings of vacant lyceum and colleges to the ownership of the Ministry of Public Education by the end of the year and by January 1, 2019, to turn regional school branches into primary schools and to provide them with school buses systematically,” the report reads.
Also, Shavkat Mirziyoev emphasized that it is important to complete the construction-repair works of targeted schools and to equip them at the expense of centralized investment funds.
