Uzbek Ministry of Public Education, DELL discussed the development of IT-infrastructure at schools
Delegation of the American DELL company led by Nurlan Sadikov, General Director for Kazakhstan and Central Asia, visited the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the meeting, guests got acquainted with the reforms in the system of public education in Uzbekistan. Also, the leadership of Uzbekistan emphasized the tasks of introducing modern information technologies into the public education system.
The sides discussed issues of digitalization of the Uzbek schools and the establishment of partnerships in the development of information technologies.
At the meeting, it was stressed that currently, there are nearly 9,700 schools in Uzbekistan. Only 35% of them have modern computer equipment and 10% have access to high-speed internet. The President of Uzbekistan has instructed to provide computer and internet access to schools throughout the next three years.
Nurlan Sadikov spoke about the experience of Dell in creation of electronic classes and libraries in Kazakhstan, as well as the Internet system for schoolchildren. According to him, Dell is ready to share its experience to create IT infrastructure in the educational institutions of Uzbekistan.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to study the issues of establishing partnerships in creation of modern IT infrastructure at schools in Uzbekistan.
