A bus, carrying 34 Uzbek citizens, had an accident in Kazakhstan
According to the Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on November 22, 2018 at 20:40, on the Samara – Shymkent highway, a traffic accident occurred with the participation of the “Vanhol” brand bus, the driver of which, lost control of the vehicle due to icing. The bus turned over, the press service of the MFA reports.
According to the Aral district police department, there were 36 passengers on the bus, including 34 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and 2 citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Following the incident, Zokir Ahrorov, 32, citizen of Uzbekistan, died at the Aral district hospital.
7 citizens of Uzbekistan O. Abdukarimov, I. Mamurov, A. Samiboyev, N. Askarov, R. Makhmarizayev, K. Mamadaliyev and R. Turaboyev received minor injuries and were provided with necessary medical assistance. The rest of the Uzbek citizens were accommodated in the Sayakhat hotel.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan and the Consulate General in Almaty is providing necessary assistance to the victims. They will soon be transported to Uzbekistan.
