EU delegation to Uzbekistan organized a press tour in Brussels for CA journalists
A delegation of the European Union (EU) in Uzbekistan organized a press tour for journalists from Central Asia (CA) on 19-23 November in Brussels, Belgium.

During the press tour, CA journalists familiarized themselves with the activities of such institutions as the European Parliament, European Commission, EU Council, European External Relations Service and others.

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogerini and Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov held formal talks on renewal of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and Uzbekistan.
The delegation of Uzbekistan participated in the 14th meeting of the Uzbekistan-EU Cooperation Council.

The future agreement between Uzbekistan and the EU replaces the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement signed on July 1, 1999 between Uzbekistan and the European Union and its member states. The new agreement will focus on political cooperation, trade and investment relations, sustainable development, as well as human rights and governance.

The main agreement on the new agreement will take place in early 2019.
