Ambassador of Uzbekistan hands over Credentials to the Bulgarian President
On November 28, 2018, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a residence in Ankara, Alisher Agzamhodjaev, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reports.
After the solemn ceremony, which took place in the building of the Presidential Administration of Bulgaria, a conversation took place between the sides. The head of Bulgaria praised the current state of bilateral relations with Uzbekistan, pointing out the existing potential for increasing cooperation.
The President expressed confidence that the intensification of the Bulgarian-Uzbek contacts will further strengthen the interaction between our countries in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields.
Mutual interest was expressed in the implementation of the agreements reached during last year’s meeting of the two leaders in New York, including on the development of cooperation in agriculture, higher education, and high technologies.
It was noted that Uzbekistan is a friendly, reliable and promising partner of Bulgaria in the region.
The President of Bulgaria expressed his country’s readiness to bring the Uzbek-Bulgarian relations to a qualitatively new level in all areas of mutual interest.
Mr. Rumen Radev said Bulgaria expects President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to the country in the coming year.
