Illicit export of $ 34,000 cash was discovered by the customs officers in Fergana region
Employees of the border customs post “Fergana” prevented the illegal export of $ 34,000 cash, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
“Customs officers felt suspicious of a citizen A. Z., who was passing to the neighboring Kyrgyz Republic through the border customs post because of his nervous and strange self-conduct. Although, during an oral interrogation, this citizen stated that he had nothing to be declared, customs officers decided to check him accordingly,” the State Customs Committee noted.
During a personal search with the participation of witnesses, it was discovered that the citizen was hiding $ 30,000 cash in his underwear.
In addition, $ 4,000 extra cash was found in the right outer pocket of his jacket on him and 510 Turkish liras in the purse inside his bag.
In total, the customs officers prevented an illegal export of foreign currency in cash – $ 34,000 and 510 Turkish liras were attempted to be taken out of Uzbekistan.
Currently, customs checks are underway on this fact.
