Uzbekistan, Russia to cooperate in the field of electricity
Recently, leadership of the JSC “Uzbekenergo” held a meeting with Alexey Kiryakov, head of the Department under the Russian Ministry of Energy and Sergei Perevedensev, representative of the company “Inter RAOEES”.
According to the press service of “Uzbekenergo”, the sides discussed issues of further development of cooperation, modernization of thermal power plants (TPP) and joint construction of new power generation capacities.
Chairman of the Board of “Uzbekenergo” U. Mustafoyev emphasized the importance of strengthening the Russian-Uzbek cooperation in the electricity sector and paid particular attention to the issues to be implemented by both sides. Particularly, during the talks, the sides exchanged views on the reconstruction and modernization of total 18 power units within the “Tashkent TPP”, “Navoi TPP”, “Takhiatosh TPP” and “Angren TPP”, as well as the issues of cooperation in the period of transition to reliable and innovative management between “Uzbekenergo” JSC’s “Angren TPP” and “New Angren TPP”.
In turn, the head of the Department Alexey Kiryakov expressed his willingness to use all possible opportunities for mutual cooperation between the Russian Energy Ministry and the JSC “Uzbekenergo”.
