Second secretary of the Afghan Embassy in Turkmenistan dies in a car accident
An Afghan diplomat has died after the vehicle he was travelling in crashed in Turkmenistan on Saturday, Afghan media reported.
Khuwaja Mohammad Salim Sharifzada, the second secretary of the Afghanistan Embassy in Turkmenistan, was travelling toward Mary province when the incident took place, the embassy said in a statement. Ambassador Mirwais Nab said that the incident happened in the province at 6:10 on Saturday morning.

“Mr. Khuwaja Sharifzada was a dedicated and experienced diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, where he served for more than three decades,” the statement reads.
