UzCard may be fined one billion soums for malfunctions
On the portal of discussions of normative-legal acts, a draft law “On payments and payment systems” has been published. It envisages the introduction of penalties against the malfunctions of UzCard.
The document notes that if the payment system works intermittently, the Central Bank has the right to send an order to eliminate the violation, indicating the period for its rectification, impose a fine up to one billion soums or suspend the license for up to three months.
In September of this year, the UzCard terminals, PayMe and Click payment systems malfunctioned.
