Visa-free regime may be introduced for 22 more countries

Uzbekistan plans to introduce a visa-free regime for 22 more countries.
“There is a draft document that is currently under discussion and coordination. In compliance with it, the number of countries a visa-free regime applies may increase by 22 and become 40. It will be decided by the State Tourism Committee in close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant government bodies,” Ulugbek Kasimhodjayev, acting First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism said.
It should be noted that in the first ten months of 2018, the number of tourists arriving in Uzbekistan increased by almost two-fold and reached the mark of 4.4 million people.
