Tashkent to host a consultative meeting of heads of Central Asian states
A consultative meeting of heads of Central Asian states will be held in Tashkent. This is stated in the draft State Program “Year of Active Investments and Social Development”, which is based on the Actions Strategy along five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.
A presidential order will be developed on the matter, which envisages measures to hold a consultative meeting of heads of regional states in Tashkent in 2019.
The following will be considered in the document:
- identifying new reserves and effective mechanisms for enhanced regional cooperation in the area of security and stability in Central Asia;
- developing concrete programs in trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, banking-financial, water, energy and cultural-humanitarian spheres;
- exchanging views on topical international and regional issues, agreeing on a common vision and promoting it within the framework of international organizations.
Deadline for execution of the project is April 12, 2019 and the responsible bodies for its realization are MFA, Strategic and Interregional Research Institute, International Information and Analytical Center.
