Uzbekistan’s passport becomes 80th “most powerful” in the world

In accordance with the report of the Henley & Partners, a London based consulting firm that annually releases ranking of all the passports of the world according to the number of countries their holders can travel to visa-free, Uzbekistan occupied the 80th place. The report is published on January 8.

Note that last year the country was ranked 82nd.

Interestingly, in addition to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mozambique, Mauritania, Sao Tome and Principe were also ranked 80th.

Russia occupies the 48th place with visa-free access to 119 countries of the world, Ukraine - 41st (128), Georgia - 51st (114 countries), Turkey - 52nd (111 countries) and Kazakhstan - 67th (76 countries).

Japan has the most “powerful” passport in the world, which allows its citizens to visit 190 countries without a visa. 

By the beginning of 2018, the first place was occupied by Germany, whose passport gave visa-free access to 177 countries. A year later, the German passport went down to the third line, which it shared with France. Now citizens of these countries can enter 188 countries visa-free. The second place was taken by Singapore and South Korea - 189 countries.

The last, 104th position in the ranking was shared by Afghanistan and Iraq (30 countries).

It should be noted that starting from February 1, 2019 Uzbekistan introduces a visa-free regime for a period of 30 days for citizens of 45 states. In addition, representatives of another 76 countries will be able to receive an electronic entry visa in a simplified order.
