Uzbekistan, Israel to strengthen trade-economic cooperation
On January 18, 2019, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel, Eduard Shapiro.
The sides exchanged views on topical issues on the bilateral agenda, noting the dynamic nature of the Uzbek-Israeli relations in 2018.
The meeting discussed the practical aspects for further development of cooperation in 2019 in the political, economic and trade, investment, innovation, scientific, educational, medical and other fields. The sides expressed readiness to increase interaction in all areas of mutual interest.
The proposals on the timing of the fifth round of ministerial political consultations, the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Investment and Scientific-technical Cooperation, a business forum and other joint events were also considered.
