An Uzbek tennis player wins the international tournament “Futures” in Kazan

A tennis player from Uzbekistan Sanjar Fayziyev won the international Futures tournament, held in Kazan (Russia) on January 22-27, the National Olympic Committee reports.
The prize fund of the tournament was $25,000.
Sanjar Fayziyev successfully competed against Alexander Igoshin from Russia, compatriot Sergey Fomin and another Russian tennis player Alexander Vasilenko.
At the final match, Fayziyev had to play on the court against a representative of Russia Teimuraz Gabashvili. The match lasted 2 hours and 12 minutes and ended with a score of 6:3, 7:5 in favor of the Uzbek tennis player.
Other compatriot participants of the tournament Khumoyun Sultonov and Sergey Fomin were able to reach the second round only. In doubles competitions, Alexander Vasilenko (Russia) and Khumoyun Sultonov (Uzbekistan) reached the final and became vice-champions.
