Construction of the JSC Quartz starts in Fergana

Construction of a line for production of 400 tons of ground glass per day began in JSC Quartz of Kuvasay city in Fergana region, together with Chinese company Shanghai Pony Technology Co. Ltd., UzA reported.

As a result of implementing this project worth $70.2 million, it will become possible to produce an additional 22.2 million square meters of glass sheets per year. Most importantly, many new jobs will be created.

At an enterprise specializing in production of glassware, special attention is paid to increasing the volume and quality of products, studying and introducing international experience and modern technologies. This, in turn, serves as an important factor in rapid growth of economic indicators.

This company is the first in Uzbekistan to pass the energy management certification according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. In 2017, it won the International Star for Leadership Cup, in Paris. In addition, on May 26, 2017, JSC Quartz was awarded the diploma of the laureate of the International Quality Standard award at a competition organized in Moscow by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, All-Russian public organization “Business Russia”. At Moscow International Forum “Glass and Modern Technologies – XXI”, which was held recently in Moscow, the company was awarded the “International Recognition” award for its sustainable economic indicators and achievements in production.

Currently, more than 2 thousand 300 employees are working effectively in society.
