“VUZgorodok” in Tashkent to be modernized

According to the press service of the capital’s administration, at the moment, the work on improving the territory of the National University of Uzbekistan and the “VUZgorodok” in general has been initiated.

It is planned to build pedestrian pass, bicycle lanes and parking with a capacity of 400 cars. In addition, it is envisaged to repair 5,600 square meters of motorways.

It is also intended to carry out landscaping works on the area of 11,000 square meters. Comfortable modern benches will be placed around the university, and iron fences will be dismantled.

Certain areas will be limited for traffic in order to ensure the safety of pedestrians. Completion of the planned work is scheduled for 15 days.

The Tashkent city administration apologized for the temporary inconvenience arising from construction work on this part of the capital, the report said.
