Artillerymen of the Uzbek army demonstrate new methods of firing (photo)
On February 8, on the firing ground “Kattakurgan” of the Central Military District, demonstration classes were conducted on operation and control of artillery fire, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported.
The training camp organized by the General Office of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan was attended by experts of artillery units and teachers of higher military educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense.
In practice, gunners demonstrated firing the 122-mm howitzer D-30 and the combat vehicle BM-21, fire control during defensive measures at a distance of 12-14 km and firing on the target at a distance of 8-9 km during a march.
Also, the artillerymen in practice have worked out actions for destruction of a column of equipment of the conditional enemy and repelling an attack, passing through minefields and others. Participants of the training camp were shown a modern method of firing at targets – “Artillery carousel”. Lighting and high-explosive shells were used during day and night classes.
