Trading House of Turkmenistan to open in Tashkent
The opening of the Trading House of Turkmenistan is planned in the capital of Uzbekistan, the press service of the capital administration reported.
Plans for the implementation of this project were announced at a meeting of the head of the city Jahongir Artikkhodjayev with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to our country Yazguly Mammedov held in the Tashkent city administration on February 12.
The meeting also discussed issues related to the construction of a residential complex for staff of the diplomatic mission in the embassy, located along the Mukimi Street in Chilanzar district.
Bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in various fields have significantly strengthened in recent years. In particular, trade turnover between the countries in the first quarter of last year grew by 55%. At the same time, mutual supplies of products with high added value increased significantly.
Agricultural machinery, fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, mineral fertilizers, building materials, chemical and finished textile products are exported from Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan. Oil and petroleum products, equipment, polymers and other chemical produces are imported from Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan.
The parties plan to take all necessary measures to increase the volume of mutually beneficial trade.
