Uzbekistan has the highest life expectancy in Central Asia – The Lancet
Uzbekistan leads in the life expectancy rate among Central Asian countries, Global Burden of Disease Study published by The Lancet informs.
According to the study, the leader in terms of life expectancy among the countries of Central Asia is Uzbekistan - 73.8 years.
Tajikistan is not far behind, where the figure is 73.7 years. In Kazakhstan, the average life expectancy is 72.4 years, in Kyrgyzstan - 70.9, in Turkmenistan - 70.4.
According to researchers, the country with the highest life expectancy in the world is Hong Kong at 84.3 years, closely followed by Japan (83.8 years) and Italy (83.5 years).
