Two citizens of Uzbekistan may face 6-years imprisonment for crossing Russian border illegally in bus luggage compartment
Two citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan illegally tried to cross the border with the Russian Federation, Altaiskaya Pravda writes.
It should be noted that they were earlier banned from entering the country until the end of 2020, but this did not stop them from crossing the border.
The young people colluded with the bus driver to eschew border control officers. The driver agreed to help them for certain amount of money, placed the guys in the secret compartment of the bus, which had previously been used to carry baggage.
The plan worked, and within a few hours the men crossed the border into the territory of the Kulundinsky district. But on the same day, both violators were detained by officers of the FSS in the Novosibirsk region.
Currently, the regional prosecutor's office has instigated a criminal case against the violators. The citizens of Uzbekistan may be incarcerated up to 6 years.
