Uzbek doctors to undergo internship program in leading medical centers in Russia
Uzbekistan and Russia will actively cooperate and exchange experience in the field of innovative healthcare, TASS reports with reference to the agreement of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of Uzbekistan and the National Medical Chamber (NMC) of the Russian Federation.
“Agreements on close cooperation with the National Medical Chamber of the RF were reached in the course of a visit to Moscow by a delegation of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of Uzbekistan, during which negotiations were held between delegations led by heads of chambers Ravshan Izamov and Leonid Roshal,” the report said. It is noted that during the visit, such issues as accreditation of doctors, compulsory medical insurance (CMI) of citizens, introduction of a system of continuing medical education and retraining of personnel were discussed.
As a result of negotiations, the Russian side expressed its readiness to invite specialists from Uzbekistan to their leading medical educational centers and universities for conducting consultations, recommendations and exchange of experience.
The National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare Uzbekistan was formed in August 2018. It is an authorized organization in establishing effective cooperation with foreign and international organizations in the field of healthcare. Introduction of an innovative model of healthcare management, digitization of a system for collecting and analyzing medical statistics, introduction of a registration system for doctors and pharmacists and creation of their single publicly accessible electronic database are among its main tasks.
