Shavkat Mirziyoyev sends greetings to President and PM of Bangladesh on Independence Day

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has congratulated today the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed on Independence Day of the country, the presidential press service reported.

The Independence Day of Bangladesh is a national holiday. It commemorates the country's declaration of independence from Pakistan in the late hours of 25 March 1971, by the undisputed leader and Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibor Rahman.

For information, Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations with Bangladesh on October 15, 1992 by signing a Protocol in Tashkent.
