Labor migrants will get insurance in Uzbekistan before traveling to Russia
The company “Ingo-Uzbekistan” has launched life and health insurance for migrant workers leaving Uzbekistan for the territory of the Russian Federation. Kun.uz correspondent reports about it referring to the statement of the general director of “Ingo-Uzbekistan” Bakhtiyor Gaybullayev.
Coverage on the policy is $10,000.
“In order to expand the business, this year the company officially introduces a product that is socially oriented – life and health insurance of our compatriots who go to the RF as labor migrants. Recently, a lot of accidents have happened on roads, especially in Kazakhstan. Because many of our citizens travel by bus and roads pass through Kyrgyzstan, the territory of Kazakhstan. As the media reported, there was a bus fire and many people died,” he said.
“The insurance includes evacuation coverage, repatriation in case of accidents with our citizens,” he noted. Also, it covers the costs of emergency medical care, primary dental care.
The average cost of the policy will be $9 for a period of 30 days, Mr. Gaybullayev said. “One month is enough for them to reach the Russian Federation and get a patent for employment. After receiving the patent in compliance with the laws of the Russian Federation, they will be already insured by compulsory health insurance, voluntary medical insurance is also provided for,” he concluded.
