Trial over former khokim of Yunusabad district held in Tashkent
The Tashkent city court on criminal proceedings is holding an open court to consider the criminal case against the defendants Bakhtiyor Abdusamatov (ex-governor of the Yunusabad district of Tashkent), Ulmas Muhamedsaidov (temporarily unemployed) and Shohrukh Malikov (former general director of the "National PR-center" at the State Committee of the Republic for development of tourism).
According to the press service of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the trial is chaired by Zafar Nurmatov, the judge of the Tashkent city Court on criminal proceedings.
Defendant B. Abdusamatov is accused of committing crimes under Articles 205 (abuse of power or authority), 210 (receiving a bribe) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, defendant U. Mukhamedsaidov is accused of committing crimes under Articles 168 (fraud), 211 (giving bribes ) through 28 (types of accomplices in a crime), 212 (mediation in bribery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, defendant Sh. Malikov is accused of committing crimes stipulated under Articles 211 (bribery), 212 (mediation in bribery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Currently, a judicial investigation is underway, witnesses are being interrogated. The trial continues.
