International press club holds session at construction site of the “Center for Islamic Civilization” (photo)  

Establishment of the “Center for Islamic Civilization” is a major innovation not only in Uzbekistan but also throughout the world. It is interesting for everyone to visit the huge complex that is being built on the initiative of the head of state. This center, which is currently under construction, will soon open its doors.

Today, on April 10, a regular session of the International Press Club was held on an open-air platform – a large group of media representatives, artists, teachers and students visited the construction site of the “Center for Islamic Civilization”.

The construction site occupies an area of 1.9 hectares, stunning buildings will surprise everyone.

According to Khusan Shukurov, chief specialist at the department of special works, the top of the dome is 60 meters high, and a 7-meter spear will also be placed on it and this will increase the charm of the central point. At present, there are more than 300 workers in one shift.

All the inscriptions on the slabs, the ornaments in the buildings are all meaningful, and preachments from the holy religion of Islam, enlightenment, scientific knowledge will be engraved on them.

Center includes:

* A museum with more than 40,000 unique exhibits;

* A library with over 100,000 rare manuscripts;

* Department of restoration and reproduction of ancient manuscripts;

* Research center for deeper analysis of the meaning of Islam;

* Publishing house equipped with modern publishing equipment;

* A conference hall for 300 people to conduct competitions and hold large meetings.
