Schools in Uzbekistan to render paid services
The government of Uzbekistan has approved a regulation on the procedure for the provision of paid educational services by secondary general education institutions under the Ministry of Public Education.
According to the Ministry of Justice, paid educational services can be provided in schools with necessary material-technical base and the corresponding teaching staff on a contractual basis.
It is noted that the forced involvement of students in these services is prohibited.
The fee for educational services for children from low-income families is set at 50% of the total cost. In addition, the number of participants in these classes in one group should not exceed 35 people.
At least 50% of the total amount of funds received from the provision of paid services should be given to the teacher conducting the class. Payment for educational services is made only through banks, it is prohibited to receive payment at school.
