Head of the medical association detained with bribes in Surkhandarya region 

Employees of the regional department of Surkhandarya and the regional administration of the State Security Service have held an operative event, the press service of the Prosecutor-General's Office reports.

During the event, it was identified that acting head of the Angor district medical association N. Kh. gave false hopes to citizen O. B. by promising to employ him as a junior medical worker in the infectious diseases department. Then the acting head was caught red-handed while he was receiving 2.5 million soums in bribes through N. S., the HR department manager of the medical association. 

On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated against N. Kh. and N. S. under relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the moment, an investigation is underway.
