Tashkent-Samarkand toll road construction to start at the end of 2019

The President signed a decree on measures to further improve the mechanisms for attracting foreign direct investment in the economy.

This document provides for the construction of the toll road Tashkent-Samarkand. Turkish companies will participate in the construction works. Signing the relevant agreements with foreign companies is scheduled for July 2019. At the same time, in the second quarter of the year, an agreement is expected to be concluded with international financial institutions for the provision of consulting services.

The resolution notes that the construction of the toll road will begin in the fourth quarter of this year and commissioned at the end of 2021.
