French Total EREN to build solar power station in Uzbekistan
The French company Total EREN plans to build a solar power plant in Uzbekistan, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
“Now we are completing work on a draft agreement (with the Total EREN company) providing for the construction of a solar power plant on the basis of public-private partnership,” Sherzod Khadjaev, Deputy Minister of Energy, said.
He stressed that the parties intend to complete the preparatory work and begin construction and installation “in the very near future”.
“Similarly, we are completing the coordination of technical aspects with a number of other companies on the implementation of projects in the energy sector on the “build-own-operate” principle. The Ministry of Energy provides guarantees for the redemption of generated electricity,” the Deputy Minister added.
