Tashkent city administration to provide apartments for residents of demolished houses
Tashkent city administration decided to buy multi-storey buildings from developers to provide apartments in the form of compensation to owners of housing intended for demolition. This was reported in the press service of the city administration.
“This initiative aims to provide owners of demolished houses with a choice of housing, its arrangement, location and other means that should be presented in the form of compensation for damage caused during the demolition and to prevent inconvenience and objections,” the statement reads.
The city administration set requirements for entrepreneurs engaged in housing construction. Houses must be completely renovated and ready for immediate occupancy. In the multi-storey building proposed for consideration, there must be at least 10 apartments.
In this case, the cost of 1 square meter of living space should not exceed 6 million soums. The developers were also asked to provide the exact location of the proposed apartment building, full information about the legal entity that owns the facility and video materials that fully demonstrate the construction process of the housing.
