Salary of music and art school teachers to be increased from August 1

On the portal of discussion of normative-legal acts, a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on measures to improve the remuneration conditions for managers, teachers and concertmasters of children's music and art schools has been published. 

According to the draft resolution, from August 1 of the current year, the base wage rates for teachers and concertmasters of children's schools of music and art will rise by 1.6 times, and of leaders - 1.9 times.

It should be recalled that in early April 2019, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on practical implementation of five initiatives aimed at creating additional conditions for upbringing and education of young people, as well as increasing the employment of women.

According to the presidential press service, the works will be carried out as part of a program for the extensive involvement of young people in cultural and art institutions. The document provides for the approval of regional roadmaps on attracting 2 million young people (between 14 to 30 years old) in 2019-2020 to art and culture.

“It is planned to organize additional classes at children's schools of music and art, instrumental, vocal and visual arts groups, amateur theater groups and children's ensembles at cultural centers. A targeted list of cultural centers that will be built, reconstructed or overhauled, as well as equipped, is also formed,” the presidential press service said.
