Uzbekistan to change the current policy of tariff and non-tariff regulation of trading activities

The first meeting of the republican Council for the Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation of Foreign Trade was held at the MIFT.

The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov.

It was attended by heads of ministries, departments, regulatory bodies and sectorial business associations.

The key topic of the meeting was the discussion of formed recommendations on changing the current policy of tariff and non-tariff regulation of trading activities.

During the discussion, the parties had the opportunity to work out the possibilities of optimizing the size of import duties on certain groups of goods, taking into account the current legislation, production and foreign trade, put forward promising proposals and discuss issues on the agenda.
