Ravshan Irmatov becomes UFA First Vice-President
FIFA Referee Ravshan Irmatov was appointed First Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Football Association, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
Reportedly, the appointment was made today during an extraordinary meeting of the Football Association.
It should be recalled that yesterday, June 13, the First Vice-President of the Football Association Umid Akhmadjanov submitted his resignation. He justified his decision by saying that working at the Olympic Council of Asia takes a lot of his time.
Ravshan Irmatov is a referee and record holder in the number of matches served on the World Cup, ten-time best referee of the year in Uzbekistan, five-time best referee of the year in Asia, winner of the Global Soccer Awards in the nomination “Best referee of the world”. He is also a winner of the badge “Uzbekistan iftihori” (“Pride of Uzbekistan”), orders “El-yurt hurmati” (“Respect of the people and homeland”) and “Buyuk xizmatlari uchun” (“For outstanding services”).
