Prisoners can now go on vacation and receive salary – Ministry of Justice

The Ministry of Justice has introduced some amendments and addenda to the Regulation on internal orders of institutions for serving the sentence of imprisonment at the Interior Ministry, Legal Information reports.

According to the amendments made, prisoners are granted the following rights:

- to practice exercises in the fresh air in their spare time;

- to get psychological assistance;

- to have safe working conditions, rest, go on vacation, receive salaries.

Now in the case of a serious illness, the convict is allowed additional communication by phone and an additional meeting, if necessary.

Also, the frequency of medical examinations of convicts is clarified and the need for medical examinations is established at least once every 6 months (can be carried out in compliance with an appeal as well).
