Uzbekistan, Georgia eye to strengthen cooperation in tourism sector
On July 25, 2019, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Nematov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia Zurab Abdushelishvili, the MFA press service said.
During the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral relations and prospects for their development.
Special attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the tourism sector, where new opportunities are opening up thanks to the resumption of the Tashkent-Tbilisi-Tashkent flight from July 16, 2019.
At the meeting, the sides reviewed the preparations for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Georgia, as well as the schedule of upcoming joint activities.
