Abdulla Aripov meets with Dmitry Medvedev on the sidelines of Caspian Economic Forum
Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov met with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on the sidelines of the first Caspian Economic Forum.
“I would like to thank for the organization of our trip to Moscow and the Moscow Oblast on July 10. We have outlined new areas of cooperation in the field of information technology, labeling, taxes. Trade-economic cooperation between our countries is developing dynamically. According to our data, its volume for seven months is 15% higher than last year. And we expect that by the end of the year it will reach more than $6 billion,” Aripov said.
He noted that recently, at the initiative of the Russian Federation government, a new indicator of VAT for agricultural imports was adopted. The Prime Minister hopes that Uzbek producers of agricultural products will take advantage of this and will supply the highest quality and healthy produces to the Russian market.
“Abdulla Nigmatovich, I once again cordially welcome you. This year our meetings with you have become quite regular. I hope it is a key to sustainable development of cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan. You have been to Moscow relatively recently. Today’s event provides an opportunity to discuss not only topics related to the forum, but also topics of bilateral cooperation, implementation of a number of decisions that were made at the presidential and government levels,” Medvedev said.
