Extradition agreement between Uzbekistan and Turkey comes into force
On August 20, the agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey on extradition entered into force, the press service of the MFA reports.
The document was signed on April 30, 2018.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the agreement is aimed at expanding cooperation in the criminal law sphere and ensuring more effective interaction between the two countries in the fight against crime.
The document explains in detail the procedure and conditions for the extradition of persons, the grounds for refusing to repatriate, the form and content of the request, as well as the necessary supporting documents to be transmitted to the requested party.
In accordance with the agreement, each party undertakes the responsibility to extradite the persons who are wanted for a certain crime.
