More than 1000 citizens of Uzbekistan, who have gone abroad, may lose their citizenship
Citizens of Uzbekistan who went abroad more than three years ago and did not register at consular office may lose their citizenship. This was reported by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow.
The list includes 1,150 citizens of the republic who left for permanent residence abroad more than three years ago. According to the report, none of them have registered at the consular office.
“In this regard, in accordance with Article 21 of the Law “On Citizenship of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the issue of revoking their citizenship is being considered now,” the embassy said.
