Uzbekistan to automate air pollution monitoring from 2021
The government adopted a resolution on improving the system of state monitoring of the environment, the Justice Ministry reports.
In accordance with the decree, from January 1, 2021, automatic stations for collection and analysis of samples on air pollution sources will be mandatorily installed on the territory of newly commissioned economic entities with a high risk of environmental impact.
Reportedly, the State Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection is entrusted with coordinating the activities of all ministries and organizations in the field of environmental monitoring.
From December 1, 2021, the monitoring of atmospheric air pollution will be automated in the republic, until January 1, 2021, all departmental analytical laboratories will be accredited.
According to the decree, from January 1, 2021, a Single Geoinformation Database of the state environmental monitoring system should also begin to function.
