State budget to be replenished with 16.5 trillion soums until year end
At a press conference on September 11, Deputy Chairman of the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan Gafurjon Shukurov said that in 2019, it is planned to replenish the state budget with 16.5 trillion soums at the expense of customs duties.
Shukurov noted that in January-August 2019, customs duties worth 9.9 trillion soums were collected. This figure was 11.5 trillion soums for the whole year in 2018. By the end of the year, this amount is expected to reach 16.5 trillion soums.
In order to implement state programs for the development of entrepreneurship and attracting foreign investment, customs duties privileges in the amount of 47.5 trillion soums in 2018, and 39.5 trillion soums in January-August 2019, were provided.
As a result of monitoring conducted by customs authorities in 2018, the cases of aimless use of benefits related to customs payments in the amount of over 185.1 billion soums were revealed in 207 business entities, and in the amount of 30.5 billion soums in 60 entities – over the 8 months of this year.
