An airline from India expresses its readiness to enter Uzbekistan’s aviation market
At the Ministry of Transport, a meeting was held with a delegation from the Indian company Delhi International Airport Limited, led by its financial director Sanjeev Edward.
During the meeting, issues of increasing the efficiency of the Navoi Intermodal Logistics Center, created on the basis of Navoi Airport, were discussed.
Sanjeev Edward voiced the interest of the Indian side in development of friendly relations between the two countries by using the transit potential of Uzbekistan in transportation of passengers and goods.
He expressed the readiness of the company Delhi International Airport Limited to consider creating a system linking freight traffic between the airports of Navoi and Delhi.
“I am confident that Navoi Airport could become the largest land port in Central Asia. Because it has all the possibilities for this,” Sanjeev Edward said.
In addition, the Indian side announced its readiness for cooperation and creation of IT solutions in the field of documentation and air transportation processes.
During the meeting, the parties formed working groups to control the transportation of passengers and goods. Agreements were reached on cooperation.
