Ambassador Dilyor Khakimov discusses with EU official the upcoming visit of Uzbekistan delegation to Brussels
On October 22, 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries Dilyor Khakimov met with Richard Shostak, the Advisor to the President of the European Commission.
During the conversation, the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their development were examined. In particular, the course of joint work on the draft Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) between Uzbekistan and the EU, as well as the organizational issues regarding Uzbekistan delegation’s upcoming visit to Brussels were considered.
Special attention was paid to the contribution made by the European Union to solving environmental problems in our country. It should be noted that recently, the European Investment Bank allocated 100 million euros to implementation of projects aimed at saving the Aral Sea region.
Following the negotiations, a schedule of a number of joint activities was agreed.
