About 50 documents to be signed as part of Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to Japan
As part of the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan, 48 agreements worth $6.5 billion will be signed, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade reports.
On December 16, a number of bilateral documents were inked at the Uzbek-Japanese business forum in Tokyo.

In particular, at the interdepartmental level, the MIFT of Uzbekistan and the Bureau of Trade Policy at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan signed a Memorandum on Economic and Industrial Cooperation.
An interaction will also be established between the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities and the Institute of Economics and Energy of Japan – a program for the development of a heat supply system and a master plan for the development of Uzbekistan will be jointly worked out.

The Japan National Oil, Gas and Metals Corporation (JOGMEC) will take part in geological surveys in Navoi region, and the Japan External Medical Assistance Organization (OMETA) plans to open Japanese-Uzbek Medical Information Center in Tashkent.


Large investments in the automotive industry will be possible thanks to the cooperation of Japanese companies Isuzu Motors and Itochu Corporation with Uzavtosanoat JSC.
