Ernst & Young granted an investment adviser license in Uzbekistan
Ernst & Young has obtained the license of an investment adviser in Uzbekistan and will now be able to work with enterprises as a licensed participant in securities, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
The license was handed over by the director of the Capital Markets Development Agency Atabek Nazirov during a meeting with professional market participants. As part of the event, the strategy for developing the capital market for the next five years was also discussed.
The license of an investment adviser will allow the company to provide advisory services on issues of issuance, placement and circulation of securities, on analysis and forecast of the state of the securities market and its participants, as well as retraining and advanced training of specialists in the sphere.
To date, more than 40 licensed investment advisers operate in Uzbekistan.
Ernst & Young is one of the Big Four audit firms along with KPMG, Deloitte and PwC. Earlier, it was reported that KPMG also received an investment adviser license in the country.
