Leningrad Oblast of Russia eye to expand trade-economic cooperation with Uzbekistan
At a meeting with representatives of Uzbekistan, issues of establishing partnership relations related to agriculture, the pharmaceutical sector, industry and others were discussed, online47.ru writes with reference to the press service of the Leningrad Oblast administration.
The delegation of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg paid an official visit to the Leningrad Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss issues of trade-economic cooperation, establish partnership in the field of agriculture, the pharmaceutical sector, light industry, technological production and others.
“We believe that to organize work, it is necessary to build a system of organized recruitment of highly qualified personnel at the enterprises of the region. In this regard, since January 2019, a working group on creating jobs for labor migrants has been formed and operates in the LOTPP,” Igor Muravyev, Executive Director of the LOTPP said.
At the same time, the acting Consul General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg Alisher Babayev said that the parties have a lot in common and can work together quite productively.
