Ruslanbek Davletov: One of the things that is destroying our society is corruption

Minister of Justice Ruslanbek Davletov delivered a speech at the first session of the Senate international conference.

He emphasized that it is impossible to achieve results without the rule of law in economic, social or other spheres. Davletov, in his speech, focused on corruption issues.

“One of the things that is destroying our society is corruption. We plan to create a new institution to tackle this issue.
 
Institutions that are independent and not inter-related, whose relations are regulated by law, will develop Uzbekistan,” Davletov said.

He noted that after the recent elections in Uzbekistan, the electorate has big ambitions.

“The enthusiasm in the regional representative bodies is not as high as we expected. People, naturally, demand (solutions – ed.) from deputies. And they have every right for that,” Davletov said.

The minister stated that the Ministry of Justice had developed a manual on how every deputy should act in their constituency.
